Cream City Foundation Launches its 2022 Scholarship Program
MILWAUKEE, WI – Cream City Foundation announces the launch of its 2022 Scholarship Program for the 2022-2023 academic school year for students of Southeastern Wisconsin.
Cream City Foundation’s (CCF) Scholarship Program is stronger than ever. Times have been challenging these last few years, but CCF has never stopped its mission to support LGBTQ+ individuals of Southeastern Wisconsin.
“While the pandemic hit all of us hard, including Cream City Foundation, our commitment to providing scholarships to the LGBTQ+ community has been unwavering,” says Angie Harden, Vice-Chair of the Board of Directors.
During the last few years, the CCF Board of Directors continued its work to support LGBTQ+ individuals in our community. Because of their dedicated work and the community’s continued support, CCF will commit over $20,000 in scholarship funds, with more than $6,000 coming directly from the Board.
“In a time when fundraising was all but impossible, our volunteer Board of Directors stepped up and committed over $6,000 in funds to support three scholarships,” says Harden. “We are excited to announce that after a purposeful and directed effort by our Board, we are now able to award over $20,000 in scholarships for the Fall semester of 2022.”
LGBTQ+ identifying students who are residents of southeastern Wisconsin and are pursuing a post-secondary education are encouraged to apply. Students who are allies of the LGBTQ+ community are also encouraged to apply as allies play an important role in making spaces more accepting.
Applications are open through May 15th, 2022, at 11:59 p.m. To apply, visit https://creamcityfdn.org/scholarships/. CCF will announce scholarship recipients in late summer of 2022, and disburse funds to financial aid offices in August.
