CCF Announces Six New Board Members

Cream City Foundation is thrilled to announce the addition of six, talented new members to our Board of Directors.  Together, with our nine returning board members – our fully volunteer team is at full strength and getting to work to help ensure our region has the funds and support to be a place of health, prosperity and equity for all LGBTQ+ people.   • Katie May – Katie is passionate about supporting women and the queer community and is excited to join the Cream City Foundation board. Over her 20-year tenure at GE HealthCare, Katie has been involved in the Pride Alliance at GE HealthCare, serving as a local hub leader, global operating leader, mentor, and volunteer.
  • Trenice Ferguson – Trenice, a proud Milwaukee native, currently serves as the Director of Operations at the Community Development Alliance, a coalition advancing racial equity by ensuring quality, affordable housing for all Milwaukee residents. Highly engaged in her community – Trenice has also served as a board member for the Milwaukee Gay Volleyball Association and as a mentor for LGBTQ+ youth and young adults.
  • André Allaire – André currently serves as the Chief Development Officer at the Milwaukee Art Museum. A fundraiser in the arts and education for his entire 25+ year career, André brings extensive experience with donor relations, sponsorship, event planning and philanthropic strategy to his role as a Board member.
  • Dre Lozano – Andrea, also known as “Dre”, brings an energetic and deeply passionate voice to the fight for immigrant and queer community rights. Since 2015, Dre has been at the forefront of digital campaign work, showcasing her creativity and strategic thinking on platforms like TikTok and Instagram. Dre has collaborated with numerous progressive organizations, leveraging digital platforms through content, advertising, multimedia, and various forms of communication to advocate for change.
  • Zach Burrus – Zach currently leads global internal communications for Milwaukee-based ManpowerGroup after a spending a decade working in marketing and communications on the East Coast. Zach is passionate about promoting diversity and supporting the LGBQT+ community, currently serving as a committee chair in ManpowerGroup’s elevate Business Resource Group.
  • Delia Kovac – Delia currently serves as the Senior Manager of Rural Initiatives at the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC), where she provides technical assistance for inclusive economic growth in Wisconsin’s rural communities and Tribal nations.  Having recently returned to Wisconsin, Delia is a dedicated volunteer with several local organizations, including the Wisconsin LGBTQ History Project and Girls Rock MKE.

We would like to also thank departing board members Peter Burgelis and Jamie Schounard for their years of service.  They have both devoted many years of service to the community through their work on the board.  Thank you Peter and Jamie!
