Happiest wishes to each of you this New Year! Since the beginning of the COVID-19 Pandemic we’ve seen many parts of our lives changed and evolved: how we work, how we socialize, and – for a second consecutive year – how we celebrate holidays. For my family, this meant a quiet gathering with just siblings and parents. No matter how you celebrated, I hope you found time to rest and enjoy.
At Cream City Foundation, our daily work has evolved. Perhaps most significantly, we are now a Board-Led organization, operating without a paid President & CEO, having chosen to apply those resources to promote our mission of supporting the Health, Equity and Prosperity of our LGBTQ+ community. You may also notice we no longer maintain a physical office, opting instead for home offices and coffee shops; we are using technology more than ever, leveraging cloud-based software to enable new ways of connecting with each of you; and devoting more resources to connecting with you both in-person and virtually. I encourage you to keep a watchful eye for more Cream City Foundation news and events!
2022 will be a significant year for Cream City Foundation. We’re excited to share our plans and intentions with you in this newsletter – you’ll see we are laying the foundation for an exciting year. We are fortunate to have Board Directors with expertise in Event Planning and Public Health, who I’ve asked to develop a framework for helping us navigate the ever-changing landscape related to in-person gatherings and Public Health. None of us knows what this year will hold, but rest assured that Cream City Foundation will be positioned to host events in a format that will allow us to accomplish our mission while remaining safe.
I look forward to connecting with each of you this year.
