– FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE –

Cream City Foundation is thrilled to announce the addition of Gerron Jordan to its board of directors.

Gerron Jordan is a regional Emmy and Edward R. Murrow Award–winning journalist and community advocate who’s thrilled to join the Cream City Foundation’s Board of Directors. Gerron is a news anchor at WISN 12 in Milwaukee where he anchors 12 News This Morning and 12 News at 11AM on weekdays. He also co-hosts UPFRONT, a weekly political affairs program where he regularly holds lawmakers and those in power accountable to the communities they serve.

With nearly 15 years of breaking news and storytelling across the South and Midwest, Gerron has built a career centered on elevating underrepresented voices and advancing conversations around equity, accountability, and community impact. He launched the “Candid Conversations” series while working in Louisiana, examining issues such as voting rights, mass incarceration, environmental racism and their disproportionate impact on communities of color. His reporting has earned regional Emmy recognition and honors from organizations including the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, the Louisiana Associated Press, and the National Association of Black Journalists.

Since moving to Milwaukee in 2021, Gerron has embraced the city as home and continues to use his platform to support local organizations and initiatives that promote inclusion and opportunity. His passion for advocacy, education, and visibility aligns closely with Cream City Foundation’s mission to expand access to scholarships and community programs that uplift the LGBTQ+ community across Wisconsin.

Beyond the newsroom, Gerron is an active community volunteer, a proud member of the National Association of Black Journalists, and an honors alum of Howard University, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Journalism. When he’s not working or giving back, he can usually be found exploring Milwaukee’s brunch scene, singing karaoke, or putting his self-proclaimed trivia champion skills to the test.

“Gerron has been an incredible supporter of the foundation hosting our Business Equality Luncheon – we are incredibly excited to join his talents to our board of directors!” says Charlie Nash, CCF President & Board Chair.
